There is more to discovering Berlin than walking through its streets. An Eisbären Berlin home game offers a different perspective on the German capital: ice instead of asphalt, supporters’ chants instead of traffic, and an evening whose outcome can remain uncertain until the final seconds.
Eisbären play their home games at Uber Arena in Berlin-Friedrichshain. For visitors, a match can be combined with a restaurant reservation, a trip to the official teamstore and a walk along the River Spree.
This guide helps you prepare, from buying tickets and planning your journey to understanding entry rules, finding food and getting home afterwards. For the 2026/27 season, digital ticketing is particularly important, so make sure you arrange it before matchday.
Where Do Eisbären Berlin Play?
Eisbären Berlin’s home venue is Uber Arena at Uber Platz in Berlin-Friedrichshain.
Address:
Uber Arena
Uber Platz 1
10243 Berlin
Germany
The arena is close to Warschauer Straße station and Berlin Ostbahnhof. This makes it a convenient destination for visitors arriving by public transport or including a hockey evening in a city break.
When planning your visit, use the current venue information. Older travel guides, photographs and visitor reports may still use previous arena names. Always follow the details on your current ticket and the official event page.
Check the Schedule: Home Game, Date and Face-Off Time
Before booking accommodation, a restaurant or travel, check the official Eisbären schedule. Confirm that your chosen fixture is a home game, identify the competition and note the published face-off time.
Do not assume every match starts in the evening. Build your plans around the specific fixture you have selected.
Check the match information again shortly before travelling. If you are visiting from another city or country, secure your match ticket before paying for non-refundable travel arrangements.
Buying Tickets: AXS Is the Ticketing Partner from 2026/27
Start your ticket purchase on the official Eisbären Berlin website. It will direct you to the authorised sales channel for home games.
AXS became the club’s exclusive ticketing partner for the 2026/27 season. The change covers both season tickets and individual match tickets, so older booking instructions may no longer apply.
Compare the available sections and prices for your chosen game. There is no single admission price for every visit: the actual cost depends on the offer for your fixture and seating category.
For a first visit, we recommend a regular seated ticket with a clear view of the whole rink. You do not necessarily need to sit immediately beside the boards to enjoy following the game.
Before paying, check the date, block, row and ticket category carefully. Use official sales channels and avoid unknown sellers where the origin or transferability of a ticket is unclear.
Digital Tickets: Set Up Your App Before Travelling
Do not wait until you reach the entrance to set up your digital ticket. AXS uses Mobile ID with a changing QR code, so a simple screenshot is not a reliable way to enter.
Set up your account and the required app in advance. Before leaving, check that you are signed in and can actually access your tickets.
If you are travelling as a group, decide beforehand who will manage each ticket. Use the official digital transfer functions when sharing tickets with other people.
Our tip: fully charge your phone and consider carrying a small power bank for a longer travel day. If you encounter problems on matchday, seek assistance from the official ticket support points at the venue.
Visiting as an Away Supporter: Block 412
If you support the visiting team, read the dedicated away-fan information before booking.
For the 2026/27 season, Eisbären identify block 412 as the away section. Places within this block are unallocated, with no fixed seat assigned on the ticket.
Digital ticketing rules also apply here. The club specifies the AXS app or Eisbären app for entry.
Fan clubs and larger travelling groups should coordinate their visit with the club in advance, particularly when organising coaches, special trains or larger ticket requests.
Flags, banners, drums and other supporter materials are subject to specific requirements and may need prior approval. Follow the club’s current instructions rather than assuming the rules are the same as at another arena.
Getting There by Public Transport: Warschauer Straße or Ostbahnhof
For many visitors, public transport is the most practical way to reach the arena. Two useful starting points for the final walk are S+U Warschauer Straße and Berlin Ostbahnhof.
The arena lists walking times of approximately five minutes from Warschauer Straße and twelve minutes from Ostbahnhof. On a first visit, allow extra time for finding your way, crossing roads and locating the correct entrance.
The best connection depends on where you are starting and the current service situation. Check your route through BVG or Deutsche Bahn on matchday. Engineering work and replacement services can change an otherwise straightforward journey.
Do not automatically assume that your match ticket includes public transport. Check its conditions and buy a separate transport ticket if necessary.
Save your return route to your hotel or station as well. After the match, it is easier if you already know which direction to take.
Driving to Uber Arena: Choose the Correct Car Park
If you are driving, allow extra time for city traffic, finding a parking space and walking to the entrance.
The club identifies paid parking options at the arena and at the East Side Mall. Check the correct access road: directions for regular parking and premium parking may differ.
Before leaving, review the current parking information, tariffs, vehicle height restrictions and opening hours. A match ticket does not automatically include a parking space.
Park and Ride can be an alternative. Leave your car outside the immediate event area and complete the journey by public transport.
Allow time after the game too, as many visitors will be leaving the neighbourhood simultaneously.
When Should You Arrive?
Doors normally open 90 minutes before Eisbären home games. Nevertheless, check the information for your particular fixture.
For a first visit, we recommend making use of this arrival window. It gives you time to pass security, find your block and get your bearings before face-off.
Arrive in the neighbourhood earlier if you want to eat or visit the teamstore beforehand. A restaurant reservation shortly before the match leaves little flexibility if service, payment or entry takes longer than expected.
Aim to be in your seat before the game starts. You can then enjoy the opening moments without having to squeeze past other spectators.
Bags and Luggage: Follow the A4 Size Limit
Uber Arena limits the size of bags visitors may bring inside. Under the published rules, the largest side must not exceed A4 dimensions: 21 by 29.7 centimetres. The restrictions also apply to backpacks, fabric bags and other carrier bags.
There is only limited paid storage for larger bags. The arena also identifies lockers at Ostbahnhof as an alternative.
Our advice for city-break visitors: leave suitcases and large daypacks at your hotel or in suitable luggage storage. Do not rely on finding an available storage space immediately before the game.
Read the instructions for your specific event as well, since stricter conditions may apply.
The Eisbären Teamstore: Jerseys, Scarves and Souvenirs
If you would like to include some shopping in your visit, the Eisbären teamstore on Mühlenstraße is a convenient option.
Eisbären Teamstore
Mühlenstraße 19–24
10243 Berlin
The official club website lists regular opening hours of 10 am to 8 pm daily. Check for changes before making a special trip, particularly on public holidays.
The store sells club merchandise. If you are looking for a specific jersey or size, contact the shop beforehand.
The club also lists another fanshop on Coppistraße in Berlin-Lichtenberg, so make sure you select the correct location when planning your route.
For a relaxed matchday, we recommend shopping before the game. That leaves you more flexibility for your journey home or evening plans after the final buzzer.
Restaurants at Uber Platz: Eat Before the Game
There are several places to eat around Uber Platz. The official dining directory lists options including L’Osteria, HANS IM GLÜCK, Five Guys, ALEX and The Irish Pub Berlin.
Depending on your preferences, you could start the evening with Italian food, a burger or a pub meal. The best choice will depend on the current menu, your budget and the time available.
Check opening hours and book a table where reservations are available. Before an event, allow extra time for ordering, eating and paying.
Our recommendation: give a proper meal its own time slot before entering the arena. Dinner should be part of your day out rather than a race against face-off.
Food and Drinks Inside the Arena
Food and drinks are also available inside Uber Arena. The official overview lists options including burgers, fries, currywurst, pretzels and vegetarian and vegan dishes.
After entering, take a moment to locate the outlets near your block. Buying something before the game can give you more flexibility during the intermissions.
Remember that regular food stands and special restaurant experiences have different access arrangements. According to the arena, the World Dinner Restaurant requires a Dine & View ticket for sporting events. A standard match ticket does not automatically include access.
Visitors generally cannot bring their own food or drinks. Medical exceptions have specific conditions, which should be discussed with the arena in advance.
Cashless Payments: Bring a Card or Mobile Payment Method
Uber Arena operates a cashless payment system. For Eisbären home games, the change took effect from the 2024/25 season.
Food, drinks and other services at the relevant arena sales points are paid for without cash. Published payment methods include debit cards, Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Bring a suitable payment card rather than relying entirely on cash.
Cup deposits are also refunded electronically. The money may not appear in your account immediately: processing can take several banking days, depending on your payment provider.
Watching Eisbären Berlin with Children
A hockey evening can make an enjoyable family outing. Choose your places according to your children’s needs rather than price alone.
For a first visit, we recommend seats and enough time for toilet breaks, finding your way and getting refreshments. Consider the face-off time and journey home when selecting a fixture.
Before booking, check the current child ticket categories and rules for young children. Free admission, an additional entry ticket and a separate seat are different things.
Bring suitable hearing protection for younger children. Music, announcements and goal celebrations can be loud. The arena also has age-related supervision rules: visitors under 16 need an appropriately responsible accompanying adult.
An extra layer of clothing can be useful when sitting beside the ice for an extended period.
Accessible Visits: Confirm Your Entrance in Advance
If you need a wheelchair space or other assistance, take this into account when booking your tickets.
The club identifies accessible entrance 9 beside the premium entrance and press entrance 2 for wheelchair users. According to the club, the regular main entrance is not accessible.
Before travelling, confirm which entrance matches your ticket, how an accompanying person is accommodated and which parking or drop-off arrangement is suitable.
For specific requirements, use the official accessibility information and contact the organiser directly. Making arrangements early can make the entire evening easier.
Combine Berlin and Hockey: Our Suggested Matchday
Turn the match into a small Berlin adventure. Instead of arriving just as the doors open, spend part of the afternoon in the surrounding neighbourhood.
Our suggestion: start with a walk towards the River Spree, visit the teamstore and then have an early meal. Afterwards, leave enough time for entry and finding your seat.
If you are staying overnight, compare more than just the hotel’s distance from the arena. A good connection to your station or other sightseeing destinations may be equally useful.
Keep the programme manageable. A packed sightseeing schedule, a rushed dinner and a late journey home can make the day unnecessarily tiring.
After the Game: Leave Enough Time for Your Return Journey
Avoid booking a departure too close to the expected end of the match. Stoppages, overtime or a shootout can extend the evening. Afterwards, many spectators will be leaving the arena and heading towards transport connections at the same time.
Check the actual services for your travel date. Do not assume every line runs throughout the night.
For a longer journey home, an overnight stay may be the more comfortable choice. It also leaves time for a drink, a meal or a relaxed walk back to your hotel after the game.
